dave lewis: Bio

Dave Lewis was born in South Wales in 1962. Today he divides his time as a UK- based teacher, songwriter and producer. He is a vocalist, guitar and keyboard player and writes and produces at home in a project-based studio on the  Buckinghamshire- Oxfordshire borders.

Dave plays GRETSCH, GIBSON, MUSICMAN, FENDER and MARTIN guitars and uses MESA BOOGIE, ROLAND, KEELEY, XOTIC and TC ELECTRONIC effects. Studio microphones used include AKG, BLUE, SE and SHURE. Music is recorded using Logic Pro 7.2 with effects including SOUNDTOYS Echoboy, WAVES Compressors, KORG and NI Kontakt 5 software.


Collaborations include ROADHOUSE with Chris Smith, Nick Butcher, Suzy Ann Smith and Pete Thirlby, The Barefoot Pilots with Trevor Shipston and other work with UK based singer-songwriter Bethany Weimers and UK singer and producer Christina Nicola. He has also contributed guitar to tracks written by LA-based production and songwriting duo Jim Marr and Wendy Page (Billie Piper, Hilary Duff.) Rupert Cobb (Paul Carrack, Mike and the Mechanics, Dr John, Abbey Road) also contributes engineering advice and adds trumpet on many tracks.
